Fundraising Tips & Resources
We want to put you at the top of the draft list!
Get off the bench, and join us on the ice at the 2025 Pro-Am for Alzheimer’s™ in support of Baycrest.
Your team is required to meet the team fundraising minimum for the 2025 Pro-Am, plus your personal fundraising minimum ($500). It’s encouraging how quickly the donations add up once you put your heart, creativity, commitment and competition into securing donations. The key is getting started as early as possible to maximize your potential impact. Make sure to check your leaderboard standings often.
Follow the steps below to get started
SECURE YOUR FIRST DONATION
Ask for your first donation today! Think of the people you can ask who won’t say no like your family, friends and co-workers! Get that first donation to start momentum. You can even donate to yourself! The sooner you get started, the easier it will be to reach beyond $500.
SHARE WHY YOU PLAY
Inspire your donors to give by telling them the reason you’re lacing up your skates. Print the image, write why you play in the white box, and take a photo of you with the sign. Share your photo and story with a link to your fundraising page using email or social media. Tag @BaycrestProAm on Instagram or Baycrest Foundation on Facebook and we’ll tell others why you play.
SPREAD THE WORD
Use your social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to tell people about your incredible fundraising efforts with a link to your donation page. Keep your fundraising progress regularly.
SPEAK TO YOUR EMPLOYER
Don’t be shy – ask your colleagues and business contacts to support you in your fundraising efforts.
Check if your company offers a corporate donation matching program, which can double your fundraising quickly!
WAYS TO GIVE
CORPORATE DONATION MATCHING PROGRAMS
Want to double your donations? Don’t miss out on the easy money to be raised through donor matching opportunities.
Getting a corporate match for your workplace doesn’t have to be intimidating. Similar to reaching out to your group of potential donors, all you have to do is ask!
How does it work? A matching gift is a company’s payment matching a whole or partial donation made by company employees. Some companies match 50% some match 100% and some match even more.
