Since 2005, the Pro-Am for Alzheimer's in support of Baycrest has raised more than $35 million for Baycrest, a global leader in brain health and aging. North America’s premier on-ice hockey tournament brings more than 500 players to the rink each year to fund research, innovation, care and education in Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

As Canada’s population ages, the number of people living with dementia or cognitive impairment is expected to nearly double by 2031.
Baycrest’s work preserves and extends the cognitive and emotional well-being of older adults — and donors make it possible.
Government funding covers only about 64% of revenues. Contributions to the Baycrest Foundation support research, innovation, care and education in brain health and aging.

Pro-Am for Alzheimer's in support of Baycrest supports critical Alzheimer’s research
Research is vital in the fight against Alzheimer’s. For 19 years, sponsors, participants and donors of the Pro-Am for Alzheimer's in support of Baycrest have invested in world-class Alzheimer’s disease research — funding that currently supports five leading researchers. Continued support is needed to make a meaningful difference for people living with Alzheimer’s and those who love them.
Baycrest is unique in the world: a 22-acre Toronto campus, fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, combining a comprehensive system of care for older adults with the Rotman Research Institute, one of the world’s top cognitive neuroscience institutes. Baycrest is also home to the Canadian Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation, a transformative made-in-Canada venture turning frontline ideas for seniors’ care into reality.
Drawing on nearly a century of elder care, Baycrest is rethinking brain health and aging — working toward a world where people can age in the setting of their choice while maintaining their cognitive, emotional and physical well-being.
